Slight Return is extremely proud to be from the Detroit area. Influenced by the greats like Jimi Hendrix and Santana and the funky grooves of the 70â€™s like Sly and the Family Stone and James Brown, with the added kick of bands like Rage Against the Machine and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, they can appeal to a wide variety of listeners. Slight Return, because of the musical experience of the band members, also backlines other artists with an array of music from the days of Motown until the present.

Slight Return has many originals but also covers the legends like Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Robin Trower, ZZ Top and many others. Slight Return also can write a customized song, parody, or soundtrack for your specific purpose, show or event.

Mark Kassa: Guitar/Vocals
Graduate of Musicians Institute, Hollywood, CA
Studied under Norman Brown at Musicians Institute.
At Musicians Institute played in funk pro series with musicians from Prince, Sheila E, and The Time band along with other various professionals in the Los Angeles area and various L.A. studio pros.
Co-founder of Axis Music Academy.
Wrote curriculum for and wrote/performed various guitar clinics/classes at Axis Music Academy , Guitar Center and Motor City Guitar, and Southfield Center for the Performing Arts.
Guest writer for The Metro Times writing various guitar articles.
Played soundtrack for Fender/Panasonic car audio system promotional commercial.

Tony Mitchell: Percussion/Vocals
Tony has played music on the Detroit music scene for years and toured the USA with the band Immunity. He has also opened for various national acts like the band War and played on many studio sessions in the Detroit area.

Ronnie Karmo: Drums
Ronnie has played music on the Detroit music scene for year and done various session dates with casino performers and musicians of all genres and opened for national rock acts.

Garry Villasenor: Bass
Garry is a music veteran specializing in groove, funk, blues and rock. Garry has played on the Detroit music scene for years and with a variety of artists.
