D-Street Band - Bruce Springsteen Tribute
The BandThe band started out as a collaboration of journeymen musicians with one common goal: to perform the songs of one of the most loved and in-demand singer-songwriters, and performers; Bruce Springsteen.
Our mission is to deliver authentic recreations of Bruce's and the E-Street Band's recordings and performances. For Bruce fans, the D-Street performance is a must see and hear, delivering an authentic interpretation of his most popular songs, as well as classic album takes.
Currently, we are booking dates for late 2025 and 2026.

Mike Martinez, Vocals
Mike is a seasoned veteran of the metro Detroit music scene. Classically trained in music at U of M, Eastern Michigan University, and with individualized voice instruction by the great Oscar Henry. Performance is his only occupation and his life‘s love. Although there can only be one Boss; Mike will always
work hard to convey the meaning and emotion of Mr. Springsteen's work. So wrap your legs ‘round these velvet rims and strap your hands ‘cross my engines, and let’s go!

Kelly Miller, Vocals - Percussion
A Detroit born vocalist who's motto is. “music is my medicine”, Kelly is a self-employed full-time musician. Singing for senior communities throughout Michigan is her main job. She also has fun making people smile with her Michigan Singing Telegrams business. Kelly also performs with the local girls group, The WhatAbouts, who have had the pleasure of performing on a PBS Doo Wop Show. Kelly sings many Lady Legends in tribute shows, as well as singing background with various local groups. She also recently released a gospel cd, "Kelica, With all My Heart"

Basil Burdalas, Keyboards-Vocals
Basil started out Doo Wop’n on the streets of Detroit in the 60’s; Travelled North America in the 70’s as a Troubadour busking in the great cities; and played in many bands. He’s produced 3 CD’s and 2 45’s, and performed as a studio musician. His toolbox includes Guitar/Keys/Harp/Mandolin/Vox. “Still working at it!”

Allen Towle, Drums-Percusson
Al has 41 years of experience playing drums & percussion. Schooled publicly and privately in the early days. During high school years, he performed in a symphonic band, marching band, jazz ensemble, pep & pit bands. He received a scholarship to Interlochen Center for the arts, & private drum lessons, & a music scholarship to W.S.U. He has performed & recorded with several original, cover,& tribute bands over the past 41 years. Recorded back in high school, an
original "ALIVE" rock band tape. After high school- 3 "Jim Morris" original instrumental cd's, "Splash Kan" original punk/pop rock cd, a "Water ship down" all original pop rock cd, an "Anton James band" original pop rock cd. a " Concrete Rodeo " original country cd. & a "Colectables“ original pop rock cd. He has opened up Billy Ray Cyrus at Meadowbrook music Theater, & Clint Black, Dwight Yoakum, & Eric Church at Pine Knob Music Theater with his former country band Concrete Rodeo. He has opened up Gary Hoey, Tony McAlpine, & Michael Schenker with his former Jim Morris Band instrumental group. Opened up Metal Church with his former metal group Tyranny. Opened up Skid Row with his former Judas Priest tribute band "Metal Godz at Freedom Hill. Al is also a drum & percussion instructor & is always open for new students at all experience levels. He is currently performing full-time with D STREET, this AWESOME Bruce Springsteen tribute band, & Sound Project, another top-notch local cover band.

Mark Lane, Saxophones - Vocals
Mark studied Jazz at Henry Ford College and along the way performed at the Montreux Switzerland and Detroit Jazz Festivals, Carnagie Hall, New Orleans Mardi Gras, Emerald Seas Cruise Line, and was named as a MusicFest All-Star in Downbeat Magazine. Performed as a singer/saxophonist in his group Sterling for over 15 years for all types of local and national events and even for a couple former presidents. Since then, he’s sung the national anthem for the Pistons and Red Wings, worked with numerous tribute and horn bands and recorded and performed with the original group Motor Honey. “I am Spartacus”

Gerry Mattei, Guitar – Vocals
Raised in Detroit, Michigan, Gerry began playing drums at age eight and switched to guitar at ten. He started his first band a year later and has been in bands pretty much ever since. He's done musicals, backed up singers, recorded and produced recordings sessions, played in numerous bands including horn bands and tribute bands. In addition to mandolin and harp, Gerry is the lead/rhythm guitarist and background vocalist of The D-Street Band, as well as contributing a portion of the musical arrangements and assisting with the band’s musical direction. His influences include The Beatles, Steely Dan, Chicago, Larry Carlton and David Gilmour.

Aldo Salerno, Bass Guitar
Al Salerno played trumpet from an early age and throughout high school. He played in concert bands, jazz bands, marching bands, all-brass bands, as well as rock, rhythm, and blues bands. As a result of this, some friends and fellow musicians decided to form a cover band and needed a bass guitarist. As a result of these experiences, Al decided to pick up the bass guitar and learn how to play it. 25 years later, as a bassist for The D-Street Band, he performs classic Bruce Springsteen songs, helping to re-create the music that you know and love.
